I only knew I wanted rocks and had this miniature dog toy that I really wanted to employ. The first project was a miniature diorama with the dog laying at the feet of the rocks, lapping from an artificial lake. After three photo sessions, dozens of photos each, it was clear it was not going to happen. I picked the clearest shots of the rocks and dried plants, then utilised some subconscious-fueled mixed media procedures, encompassing computer-based cutting and pasting, then actual cutting and pasting to make a paper collage, then placing some cardboard people in it and moving them about in a scanner to create the wavy arms. Then found a way to add a photo of the dog at the bottom.
